Quals: Specialized Field

three more questions on my "specialized field." got to figure out how specialized this means.

1) FOSS ...

2) politics of inclusion and technological fixes to social problems ...

3) hmm... gender and technology?

book: "The Success of Open Source," Stever Weber

just got the book in the mail today ... looking forward to reading, kinda liked a working paper from BRIE (Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy he wrote called The Political Economy of Open-Source Software, but i didn't like his talk at USC on "online communities." [re-read notes and explain] either way, what he has to say about FOSS is insightful, should be an interesting read.
